Bosnia and Herzegovina lies on the Balkan peninsula in the South East of Europe and although small, is a truly amazing place to visit both in terms of historical places of interest and natural beauty. The county has a population of nearly four and a half million, made up of Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats. The country is mountainous in the centre and also possesses a narrow piece of coastline – only 26 kilometres long. The capital Sarajevo sits between several high mountains and is by far the county’s largest city.
